Open Range Magazine and Publisher Amanda Smith will relaunch Open Range magazine's first issue from 2007 in March of 2013. We are very excited about this launch, as is our legal team, our sponsors and our advertisers, and staff of this great and fabulous western magazine.

AMBER ALERT WYOMING: The Cody PD has issued an Amber Alert for Katelynn Groves. She reportedly was taken from the Park County Library sometime around apprx., 5pm. She is 11 years old, white. She was wearing a pink shirt, black capri pants, brown glasses. She has brown hair that is bobbed, and brown hair. She is approx., 4'8" and weighs approx., 70lbs.  She was last seen getting into a white newer model Toyota 4 door sedan, driven by a 55-65 year old white male who is 6' tall weighing 185-200 lbs., white hair and a beard or goatee. If you see this vehicle call the Cody Police dept at 307-527-8700 or your local authorities in your area.

Sheep Herder Hill Fire Human Caused

The fire that started on Sheep Herder Hill around 4pm on September 9, 2012 has been listed as human caused. The fire originated on the west side of an ATV/ Snowmobile trail near Circle Drive. The investigation will remain open. The exact source of ignition is undetermined at this time.

Open Range Magazine Re-Launch

An Original Western flair magazine with a twist of twang and great western art, stories and Cowboy Poets featured in Open Range Magazine. The hard copy versions will be available in 2013.

After a two year hiatus, we are finally ready to re-launch Open Range. It was a difficult choice to make the decision to take a break, but personal matters needed to be tended to, and lives needed to be cleaned up and repaired before we could continue this fabulous publication. Life is good, God is on board, and we are feeling the rhythm of a fine tuned publication, created with the ability to re-launch solely on the ability of prayer and hard work and the belief that in His name we can step back, fix what needs to be fixed, forgive what needs to be forgiven, start over and begin anew. So, here's to 2013 and a successful re-launch of the West's premiere real western magazine. -God Bless! -Amanda
